What information K Star Archive processes, through whom, why and for how long.

1. Overview

K Star Archive (“this site”) processes visitors’ personal information only to the extent strictly necessary. This page explains what information this site processes, through whom, why and for how long.

This site has no user accounts, and reading our biographies does not require you to give us your name or contact details.

2. Information we process

a. Visitor statistics

  • We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand how the site is used and how fast pages load.
  • It collects information such as the page you visited, the page that referred you, your browser and device type, your approximate country and page loading speed.
  • It does not use cookies and does not identify or track individual visitors. We see only aggregated statistics, such as visits per page or per country.

b. Correction requests

  • When you use the correction form, we receive what you enter (the article URL, what is incorrect and your supporting sources) and, if you provide it, your email address.
  • We use this information only to review and handle your request and, if you gave us your email address, to reply to you.
  • Form submissions are delivered to the site operator’s email through Web3Forms, a form-handling service.
  • Emails sent to our corrections address (corrections@kstararchive.com), including requests from artists, agencies or their legal representatives, are forwarded to the site operator’s email through Cloudflare’s email forwarding service and are used for the same purpose only.

c. Server logs

  • Vercel, the service that hosts this site, may automatically record access logs (such as IP address, time of access and the page requested) for security and operation. We do not collect or analyze these logs ourselves.

d. Information stored in your browser

  • If you choose a light or dark display mode, your choice is stored only in your browser and is never sent anywhere.
  • Site search runs entirely within your browser. Your search terms are not sent or stored.
  • Visitor statistics and server logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site. Correction request information is processed only to the extent necessary to handle your request.

3. Service providers and international transfers

This site uses the services of the providers below. These providers are based outside Korea (in the United States and India) and may also process information on servers in other countries, so your information may be transferred abroad.

4. Retention

  • Visitor statistics are viewed only as aggregated figures that cannot identify individuals.
  • Correction requests are kept for one year after they have been handled and then deleted. Submission records held by Web3Forms are deleted automatically after 30 days.

5. Your rights

  • You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of processing of the information you sent us in a correction request.
  • Please send such requests through the Corrections form or by email to corrections@kstararchive.com.
  • If you have concerns about how your information is handled, you may lodge a complaint with the Personal Information Protection Commission of Korea or the data protection authority in your country of residence.

This site does not currently display advertising. Before we begin displaying ads, we will update this policy to describe the cookies used for advertising and how you can give or withdraw consent.
